Outdoor Activities in Exmoor

Exmoor Activities

The Exmoor National Park is the place to explore, discover and enjoy. There’s something for everyone with plenty of wildlife to see - in particular the magnificent Exmoor red deer and Exmoor ponies. In February, the Snowdrop Valley is a must to see during your visit, followed in spring by bluebells in the many wooded valleys. Throughout the summer there are lots of country shows/ gymkhanas, village fetes and dog shows. The heather on the moor is a wonderful sight later on in the summer.

Walking holidays in Exmoor

Walking

There’s plenty of walking for all abilities. One of our favourites is from the local village of Withypool to Tarr Steps, along the River Barle. Once you get to Tarr Stepps you can reward yourself with a pub snack or a cream tea! If required – walking boots/weather boots can be dried in our warm and airy utility room.
